Elmore presents at national Frontline conference

Oxfordshire mental health, complex needs, and domestic abuse service provider Elmore Community Services has today presented at the national conference Frontline exChange 2022.

Elmore has been providing placements to five students from Frontline, a charity set up to develop excellent social work practice in order to create social change for children who do not have a safe or stable home. The students have been placed with Elmore’s domestic abuse team, supporting victims and survivors and working alongside perpetrators to recognise and end their abusive behaviours.

Tom Hayes (Elmore’s Chief Executive), Sadia Hussain (Elmore’s Domestic Abuse Team Manager), and Laura Clements (Oxfordshire County Council’s Head of Service for Family Solutions Plus) presenting about our domestic abuse work and the placement of five Frontline students to Frontline ExChange 2022.

Elmore and our partner Oxfordshire County Council jointly shared our thoughts, ideas and innovations on positive multi-agency working to protect children. Relationship-building, always maintaining a person-centred, bespoke approach, and having a sense of shared ownership were some of the common themes that were discussed in Elmore and Oxfordshire County Council’s joint presentation of successful multi-agency collaboration.

Tom Hayes, Chief Executive of Elmore Community Services, said: “It was great to see the passion and enthusiasm of professionals attending, and the sense that, regardless of sector, everyone is united in wanting the best possible outcomes for children and families. Our joint session shared valuable and tangible insight, and we want to thank all of our attendees for giving up their time and joining the conversation and sharing their experience.”
