Rise & Shine

About Rise & Shine

The Rise and Shine service is a brief intervention floating support service, aiming to support people with clear aims they are currently struggling with now.  This may be for a few sessions, e.g. to link someone in with local services and reduce isolation, or a longer piece of work (up to a maximum of 6 months) for e.g. focusing on graded exposure or support with a complex benefit issue.

·         We work with all ages 18+, but do have a specific focus of working with older adults (63+).

·         This service is for anyone, from more short-term less complex mental health issues to those experiencing more complex needs or long-term mental health issues.

·         The main requirement of this service is that the person is hoping to work towards a specific aim and that the aim is suitable for a brief intervention (rather than a longer-term service), rather than any specific diagnosis or cluster number.

·         The only areas we do not support with are; organic mental health issues (e.g. dementia) or entrenched hoarding issues (due to us deeming a brief intervention as counterproductive in these instances).

·         We have a referrals email address: riseandshine@elmorecommunityservices.org.uk and the referral form is attached here.

  • Due to the high need for this service, we do operate a wait list closure at times, to reduce long wait times.  We are currently open to all age groups for referrals, but please do check back to this website regularly, as this may change.
